Norwich Castle Museum Wedding 2024

It had been quite some time since I last photographed Norwich Castle Museum, and it has undergone significant changes.

Extensive new development means cranes, scaffolding, and hoardings are now prominent, posing challenges for wedding photography as the best views of the castle are obstructed by construction equipment. Despite a few setbacks, including delays with the car, we had a wonderful ceremony in the gallery, surrounded by fine art, which provided a stunning backdrop for the photos.

Although flash photography was prohibited, as is often the case with registry office weddings, the existing light in the gallery, coupled with a slightly higher ISO, proved perfect. After the ceremony, we were able to take photos outside. The weather was beautiful, with the sun shining, allowing us to capture some gorgeous shots, even as we worked to obscure the unsightly hoardings.
