The wedding of Hannah and Elliot was a truly memorable event for me. They locked in their date with me before even booking the venue because I had previously shot the wedding of the groom’s brother and sister-in-law, and they specifically wanted me to capture their special day.

This was my first time shooting at the charming Little Green Wedding Barn venue, so we did a reconnaissance a month beforehand, which is my usual practice. The day before the wedding, while setting up, a tree fell across the entrance road, knocking out power and communication lines. Despite this hiccup, the venue staff, with the help of utility companies, restored everything within a few hours.

The day began with bridal prep at a local Airbnb, where I captured fun and candid moments of the bride and her bridesmaids as they got ready, complete with champagne toasts. Then, I dashed to the venue to photograph the groomsmen and awaited the bride’s grand arrival. The day went smoothly with only minor hiccups. Although the weather was less than ideal, with damp grass and meadows, we were able to make the most of the beautiful patio area for photos, which is a huge advantage of Little Green Wedding Barn.

Although sunsets are never guaranteed, I always keep an eye out for them. This time, we were lucky enough to witness a breathtaking sunset filled with purples, oranges, and reds, providing the couple with some truly magical photos.

Between the wedding breakfast and the evening festivities, there was a bit of downtime. Since it was early in the year, it got dark quickly, so we improvised with some long-exposure shots using light sticks provided for the evening. This impromptu Star Wars-esque photoshoot entertained the guests while the band set up.

It was a beautiful day filled with fun, and it was great to reconnect with couples I had worked with before.

Looking forward to being part of another day at this venue, the staff are amazing the facilities are great, rustic wedding ceremony with modern bar, and catering, the perfect blend of both. Huge praise to the venue team, and a great couple.
