A new luxury holiday let, a tight launch deadline and a photography brief that had to be delivered quickly.

There’s something particularly enjoyable about photographing a brand-new holiday property, especially when it’s somewhere as beautiful as Brancaster on the North Norfolk coast.

In 2026, Thetford Photography was contacted by the owner of Hytte House, a newly built luxury holiday home just 50 yards from The Jolly Sailors and close to the North Norfolk Coast Path.

Designed specifically as a high-end Airbnb-style holiday let, Hytte House is a beautiful three-bedroom property, with three en-suite bedrooms, contemporary interiors and a fantastic location for exploring the North Norfolk coast.

A photography project with a deadline

As is often the case with new-build projects, getting the property ready for launch wasn’t completely straightforward.

There were a couple of false starts while final building work was completed, with delays from the building company pushing back the property’s planned launch date.

Eventually, we got the call: the property was ready to photograph.

The owner had been working late into the evening to get everything looking right, because the delay had created a very real concern that some valuable late-season bookings could be missed.

The website still needed to be completed, the marketing material needed to be prepared and, most importantly, the property needed professional photography.

That meant we had to move quickly.

Photography delivered within 48 hours

Once we were able to get into the property, we photographed both the interior and exterior, concentrating on the features that would make Hytte House stand out to potential guests.

Because the web designers were waiting for the final photography, we turned the completed images around within 48 hours.

There were still a couple of tiny areas where final painting work hadn’t quite been completed, so we carefully retouched these in post-production rather than allowing them to delay the launch further.

The result was a complete set of professional marketing images ready for the website and promotional material.

Our approach to Airbnb and holiday-let photography

Photographing a holiday property isn’t simply a case of walking through the rooms and taking a few wide-angle photographs.

The images have to sell the experience of staying there.

Potential guests need to understand the layout, appreciate the quality of the accommodation and, just as importantly, imagine themselves actually being there.

Furniture, furnishings, carpets and decorations can represent a significant investment for the owner. We work carefully around the property, avoiding unnecessary movement and treating everything with respect.

Where styling is required, we keep it practical and minimal, leaving the property clean, tidy and ready for its next stage.

A beautiful property in a fantastic location

Hytte House is a particularly impressive example of a modern North Norfolk holiday let.

The owner has created a genuinely high-end property, combining contemporary accommodation with one of the best locations on the coast.

Being just moments from the North Norfolk Coast Path and so close to Brancaster’s beaches, coastline and local amenities gives the property a huge amount of appeal.

And, personally, it’s always a pleasure to work in this part of the world. Brancaster and the surrounding coastal villages are among my favourite places in Norfolk.

It’s easy to see why visitors are attracted to this stretch of coastline.

The owner was delighted with the finished photography and, importantly, we were able to provide the images quickly enough for the website and marketing work to continue despite the delays earlier in the build.
