When other wedding photographers fail we step in. Sometimes there are unforeseen issues which could prevent you attending a wedding, natural disaster, severe illness or tragedy but a double booking should never occur, especially when you inform the client 2 weeks and a day before the ceremony.
Unfortunately, this happened to Jess and Amber two young brides near Nottingham. Time was short and their dreams were to be shattered by a careless photographer that they’d booked for their big day. But thankfully they had the foresight to use social media to put out the word to the photography community. After the bad news, they used Facebook to put out a request for a last minute replacement.
Luckily we saw the post (via a colleague anyway) and put forward an offer to take the booking. Partly this was for the booking, but partly because we’d hate to see anyone let down on their big day. Although a 2.5 hour drive, it was a great location, great couple and an opportunity to do something good for someone else. I later discovered they got about 12 offers and we got the booking due to our portfolio, feedback and one particular image on the website.
